The Weekend

I really got into the Olympics this year. Generally the Summer Olympics don't interest me all that much but i watched a lot of them this year and now I'm kind of sad that they are over. Well now I get to look forward to Vancouver and the Winter Olympics and then in 2012 it's in London so I'm excited for that. It just amazes me how well these athletes do and how hard they train.

I had a nice weekend. I didn't do much. In fact on Saturday I didn't shower until 5pm. Then Mac gave me a scare. We were out in the front yard when all of a sudden Mac began yelping and licking at his front paw. I picked him up and looked at it but couldn't see anything. Any time I touched it he started yelping and whining. I thought he might have been bitten or stung by something but didn't see any marks. I didn't know what to do so I took him to my neighbors to see if they had any idea or if they new of a vet because Mac wasn't walking on it at all. My neighbors are a very nice family with a little boy who's in 2nd grade at my school. While I was over there we found that his dew claw must have gotten caught on something because it was very sensitive. Well we weren't there 5 minutes before Mac and Austin were running around and playing (without any limping). I stayed and hung out with them for a while. It was nice.

I've also spent a lot of time at the dog park. Three other new teachers have dogs and we got together tonight along with a few other people. Mac had a blast but came home slobbered on and filthy. He had a bath and smells much better now.
